PETER CLARK AND PAC GARDEN SERVICES – THANK-YOU

Arbroath FC would like to take the opportunity to confirm that Peter Clarke has decided to leave his role as groundsman of Arbroath Football Club after 19 years of sterling service at Gayfield Park.  Pete (or Booner as he’s better known amongst our players, staff, and supporters) along with his company PAC Garden Services, have been the official contractors to the Club, superbly maintaining and developing the playing surface at Gayfield since 2005.

Chairman Mike Caird said; “On behalf of everyone at Arbroath FC, we would like to thank Peter and his team for their dedication and expertise in consistently producing a top level playing surface at Gayfield for nearly two decades. Peter is a popular figure around the Club and will be hugely missed by everyone, but with his own company growing and his other commitments, we understood his reasons for stepping down at this time and we would all like to wish him and PAC, the very best for the future”.

With the impending departure of PAC, we have been working to identify a suitably qualified and experienced replacement and we are delighted to announce Arbroath based Caledonia Sport Surfaces Ltd as our brand-new grounds care contractor and partner to Arbroath Football Club.

Headed by Managing Director Ewan Rosie, C.S.S will oversee and manage the maintenance, development and performance of the Gayfield playing surface ahead of the 2024/25 season and beyond. C.S.S who already have an impressive and extensive portfolio of successfully working with various sports organisations and their surfaces including, football, golf, bowling, cricket and tennis, will also bring alongside them a strong and experienced team of external advisors who shall collaborate in planning, producing and protecting one of the best natural playing surfaces in Scottish football.

Chairman Mike Caird said; “We would like to welcome Ewan and Caledonia Sport Surfaces to Arbroath FC, it was clear from our early discussions, they matched our visions and objectives to build on successful work carried out previously by PAC. Ewan impressed us straight away with his knowledge and skillset and we look forward to supporting both him and C.S.S to bring the latest advancements in ground care to benefit Gayfield Park and Arbroath FC”.
