Arbroath FC Open Day / Match Day Experience
Saturday 6th August 2016
The Arbroath open day this year will have a different approach with the children who take part also getting to experience the popular Arbroath match day experience.
This event is free and includes a free meal by KFC Arbroath which they have kindly donated. Due to this, numbers are set, so please phone Julie on 07864195158 or email julie.harper66@googlemail.com to register your child’s place. Places are limited so be quick to avoid disappointment.
Itinerary for Saturday
11.15am – Arrival at Ground (Players & Officials Gate)
Arrive at the ground to meet the players and get autographs and photos taken if you wish. The players will be getting their official team photograph taken at this point and this is a once a season opportunity to see them close up.
12.15pm – Low Common Training Session
After meeting the players you will go over to the Low Common for a football training session with qualified SFA coaches.
2.00pm – Lunch in 36-0 Lounge
After the training session you will return to Gayfield where you will have lunch in the 36-0 Lounge which has been kindly sponsored and provided by KFC (Arbroath).
2.45pm – Coaches and Kids Seated in Stand
Following lunch you will be allocated a reserved seat in the “Matchday Experience” area of the stand.
3.00pm – Match Kicks Off
You will watch and enjoy the first half of the match from your reserved seat in the stand.
3.45pm – Half Time Kickabout
Once the players have left the pitch you will have a half time kick about on the pitch in front of the home crowd.
3.57pm – Take Your Bow
Take a lap of honour and acknowledge the crowds appreciation as you run round the pitch.
4.00pm – Refreshments
Coaches and Kids make their way to the 36-0 Lounge where juice and crisps are available for the kids.
4.10pm – Return to Stand Seats
Coaches and Kids return to seats in the stand to watch the second half of the match.
4.45pm – Match Finishes
Wait in the stand for a short period to allow the crowds to leave. Leave ground for home with parent/guardian.
The aim of the day is to give the children a great football experience and to provide lasting memories for them.
