GENERAL SUPPORTERS LIAISON OFFICERS (SLO) VACANCIES – VOLUNTARY

The Board of the Club can confirm that they are creating two new SLO posts for the start of the 2024/25 season. The SLO posts will be for a 2-year term and the post holders will represent the supporters of the club. The successful candidates will represent the official TASC supporters and the general Arbroath supporters and must be over 18.

Vice Chairman, Brian Cargill said “We want to engage with our fans better and the Board see the creation of the SLO posts as a means of doing this. The SLO’s will provide a formal means of informing the club of supporters issues as well as helping the club relay information direct to our supporters.”

The two SLO posts would initially be for 2 years in order to build relationships and to shape the post as the partnership evolves.

The club would welcome both male and female supporters applying to ensure that we can engage with as wide a demographic as possible amongst the supporter base.

The role of SLO is vitally important to us as we continue to grow, and to make sure the opinions of the fans are heard on decisions we make moving forward and We are looking forward to reviewing applications

Main Functions of the Role:

  • Actively seeks contact with individual supporters and supporters’ groups at home and away matches, and ensure their views are known to the Club.
  • To engage with and establish respectful dialogue with fans online by monitoring and engaging with fans over social media.
  • Proactively work to continually improve the relationship between supporters and the Club.
  • To regularly report to board members and prepare a summary report of any issues relating to supporters that the Club should be aware of, which shall be discussed at board meetings.
  • Support the organisation of fans meetings on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of fan engagement and match day activities.
  • To liaise with the Club’s Disability Access Officer to assist in ensuring that any disabled fans with additional access needs are able to support their team.
  • To participate in coordinating supporter events as appropriate.
