It was good to get a win and a clean sheet on Tuesday night and through to the second round of the Irn Bru Cup prior to the league season kicking off, obviously our main focus this year. It’s been a tough month preparing for the league as we have come up against a lot of full time teams both in friendlies and the Betfred Cup but it is good to test yourself against these teams. It is never nice to lose but it has allowed everyone to get minutes and improve the fitness levels for the season ahead. A lot of teams have strengthened this year along with us so it will be a competitive league. There is a great spirit amongst the boys and everyone is buzzing to work hard every Saturday to go and win as many games as we possibly can and see where that takes us, starting with Berwick.
