cinch Scottish Championship – Game 02 – Season 2022/2023

Saturday 6th August 2022, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath welcome familiar opponents Inverness Caledonian Thistle to Gayfield this afternoon.

The two sides met last season on 6 occasions with the Highlanders dramatically pipping us in the penalty shoot out in the Premiership play-off.

Head Coach Billy Dodds has kept the core of his squad but has lost influential Kirk Broadfoot and loan stars Reece McAlear, Joe Hardy and Logan Chalmers but has recruited well with Zak Delaney, George Oakley and Daniel Mackay on loan from Hibernian some of the newest recruits.

Robbie Deas has a one match suspension, and he will be joined by Thomas O’Brien who misses today’s match.

Deri Corfe will go right into the matchday squad with a delay in American paperwork denying him a place in the squad last week and there maybe a home debut for Mason Hancock with the Lichties also expected to be without Jason Thomson. It’s not known how bad Keaghan Jacobs injury is that forced him off last week, but it is hoped that Dick Campbell will have everyone else to call upon.

We know it will be another incredibly tough test, with the visitors always so resolute in defence and quick on the break but with your support we hope we can get you the result.

C’mon the Lichties
