Arbroath vs Elgin City – Match Preview

Betfred Cup – Group D – Game 4 – Season 2020 / 2021

Saturday 14th November 2020, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath return to action today as we welcome Elgin City to Gayfield.

The Ladbrokes League 2 side are full of familiar faces with former striker Kane Hester and assistant Manager Keith Gibson who won the 3rd Division with the Lichties.

The sides met last season in the exact same fixture with a Steven Doris goal in the 92nd minute giving the Lichties an opening day win in the Betfred Cup.

With both teams sitting on 6 points, and Ross County expected to defeat Stirling Albion in Dingwall a win for either team tomorrow would see them secure 2nd place in the group.
However for either team to realistically finish as one of the 4 best runner ups, a good scoreline would be needed.

Arbroath should be have a full team to pick from as they look to taken the momentum from last week’s second half against Queen of the South.

We hope you will get right behind the team from your living rooms!

C’mon the Lichties!
