The Dundee Kiltwalk – Sunday 19th August 2018

We have two connections to teams doing the Dundee Kiltwalk on Sunday 19th August 2018.

Team McGlashan are doing the Dundee Kiltwalk ‘Big Stroll’ to raise money for MND Scotland in memory of John McGlashan on Sunday 19th August.

“As well as helping to fund vital research into finding a cure for this cruel and devastating disease MND Scotland also provide invaluable support to those affected by Motor Neurone Disease.

John was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in August 2017. His health rapidly deteriorated and just 5 months later on the 10th of January 2018 he died peacefully at home in his sleep. He was just 50 years old and still had so much more to give and should have had many more years of life to live.

John has been described as a ‘force of nature’. I’m sure anyone who knew him will agree! John lived his life with positivity, enthusiasm, fun and laughter. He was my husband, my best friend and my soulmate and I am truly broken hearted at losing him.

If you could make a donation in John’s memory and share our story we would be extremely grateful.

Thank You

Dawn

Also one of our stewarding staff, Jaime Anderson is also walking the Dundee Kiltwalk on the 19th August for Ronald McDonald House, Glasgow.

The Ronald McDonald House, Glasgow is “A home from home” for family’s of seriously ill/sick children that have to go to the children’s hospital in Glasgow.

“Ronald McDonald House Charities give free accommodation to parents of seriously ill children.

I want to help ensure parents get to stay close to their sick children and not have to worry about a hotel bill for however long they require a room! The house I’m doing it all for.https://www.rmhc.org.uk/our-houses/glasgow/
