THANK YOU AGAIN!
It is fair to say at Gayfield we are used to a strong wind but this Beast from the East is really starting to test us. This video is what we were faced with this morning.
On Monday we had an amazing army put down the covers in record time.
On Tuesday, the covers had been caught by the wind and groundsman Booner (Peter Clarke) and Steven Caird with help from Allen Innes, Gvido Spunde and 16 members of their tunnel team relayed the covers and filled 200 sandbags in 10 minutes!
Today the Conditions are the worst we have ever seen and again we have to thank Booner, Steven Caird and his son Adam Caird and Allen, Gvido and the tunnel team who have relayed the sheets, filled another 200 sandbags and laid them down.
That is hard work for whoever you are, but in this snow and that wind it is extremely hard work.
Whatever happens on Saturday you can’t say we haven’t tried!
