Steven Doris – Update

This morning Arbroath FC striker Steven Doris will go under the knife to repair his cruciate ligament injury that was sustained against Albion Rovers in September.

The operation will take place in Edinburgh and Steven is going to be joined by his family and also Assistant Manager Ian Campbell. Steven is in safe hands and getting the very best of treatment.

As Ian discussed on Tuesday Meet the Fans evening, everyone recovers at different speeds from this surgery and part of it is down to the person’s genetics so it is impossible to put a timeline on recovery but it is hoped Steven will be ready to take part in pre-season training in the summer but unfortunately will miss the remaining 19 league games.

A rehabilitation programme will be set out by the medical staff and physiotherapists as Steven makes his comeback.

His determination, fight and skill has always made him a Lichtie favourite and it would be lovely if everyone could perhaps leave a little note in the comments section on our Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/ArbroathFootballClub/) for him to read later and give him a wee boost as he makes his comeback.

Good luck Stevie D! We all hope to see you pulling on the Number 9 Shirt again very soon.

C’mon the Lichties
