Pete Edwards

POWERED BY OUR PASSION

Pete Edwards

We were left saddened today with the news that Arbroath fan Pete Edwards has passed away.

Pete was a huge fan of the Lichties and very proud of the team!

Pete had been attending as many games as he could and even made the trip to Stark’s Park earlier in the season in his mighty maroon mobility scooter!

When Pete couldn’t attend the games due to ill health he would make sure that he watched all the highlights on 36nilTV.

Pete was a plasterer and tiler by trade but back in his younger days he was a DJ across Europe, and picked up the nickname “Funky Pete” due to his love of clubbing!

He attended Hayshead Primary before moving onto Arbroath Academy.

Pete leaves behind many friends in the town as well as loving wife Jayne and his siblings – Sade, Carson & Nada, then his siblings are Maurice, Kenna, Mike & Lel

Pete will be laid to rest in his Arbroath top with a service at George Stewart’s at 1.30pm and then his service at Park Grove at 2.30pm on Friday 21st December.

Pete was a real character, a part of the Arbroath FC Family and will be solely missed.

The thoughts of everyone at Arbroath FC go out to Jayne and family.

Rest in Peace Pete
