We can confirm that first team coach Stuart Malcolm and recruitment lead Barry Sellars have now both left their roles with Arbroath Football Club.
STUART MALCOLM – A former player and captain of Arbroath FC, he will always be fondly remembered by everyone at Gayfield for his role in captaining the Club to our first ever league title in 2010/11 and making 76 appearances in maroon scoring 9 times.
Earlier this season, ‘Malcs’ made his return to the Club in joining Dick Campbell’s coaching team as well as stepping in to take charge of the side for our match against Dunfermline Athletic in November.
BARRY SELLARS – Another legendary figure with the Club, Barry was appointed as the Club’s first ever Recruitment Lead in October of last year and worked tirelessly for the Management team in shaping a squad that would once again secure Championship football for a fifth successive season.
During this period, Barry identified and supported Dick & Ian in recruiting many players to the Club and was a massive support to both the coaching staff and players during his third spell at Gayfield. On the pitch Barry made over 170 appearances at Gayfield scoring 42 goals.
Everyone at Arbroath would like to thank both Stuart and Barry for their tireless work and efforts for the Club and wish them the very best in their future careers.
