ARBROATH FC CLUB STATEMENT

It has been brought to the attention of the Club that a small number of Arbroath FC Supporters who were at last Saturday’s game against Partick Thistle behaved in a manner that is completely unacceptable, both inside and outside the Stadium.

This conduct can be summarised as using foul and abusive language towards Players and Management of both teams as well as aggressive conduct towards both Arbroath FC and Partick Thistle FC supporters.

This behaviour caused concern and anxiety amongst other Arbroath FC Supporters who loyally attend all Home and Away Matches and who properly vocally support the Players and Management Team.

The Club will absolutely not tolerate this type of unacceptable and abusive behaviour and should there be a reoccurrence, the Club will take positive action against Supporters who fail to conduct themselves in an orderly manner.

Arbroath FC prides itself as a Community Club and all Supporters should be able to attend Club Matches at both Gayfield and at other Stadiums without having to listen to foul language or to witness behaviour which falls beneath acceptable standards.

The Club and Players appreciates the excellent support that the Team has received this Season and indeed over the last few Seasons and we would encourage everyone to get behind the Team for the remainder of this Season and do so in an acceptable and positive manner.

C’mon the Lichties
