Chairman’s New Year Message
Hello and Happy New Year to you when it comes,
I hope that you have all had a wonderful Christmas and that you are enjoying this festive time of year where we get to spend lots of time with family and loved ones.
Your support over the past 12 months has again been outstanding and myself and my fellow Directors have been truly humbled by your devotion to the Club, as have the management, staff and players.
Season 2021/22 gave the most incredibly exciting finale that many of us will ever remember. It will undoubtedly go down as the most successful season in our history, which would not have been possible without the unwavering support from the town and beyond.
While our fortunes on the field this season so far have been less favourable, everyone at the club is determined to kick on in the second half of 2022/23 to maintain our Championship status for the 4th consecutive season and your continued support will be vital to that goal.
There are so many who deserve credit and appreciation and it’s not just to those who are more in the limelight but is also extended to those unsung heroes behind the scenes. We have so many success stories with the growth of sponsorship, advertising and ground improvements as well as our Community Trust which has continued to blossom within the town.
I’d like to also extend sincere gratitude to all those who have played a part in continuing to raise the profile of Gayfield and the Club over the last year. The change for the better has been astounding and the assistance from many has been greatly appreciated.
