Arbroath vs Ross County – Match Preview

Betfred Cup – Group A – Game 4 – Season 2018 / 2019

Wednesday 25th July 2018, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 7.45pm kick off

Arbroath welcome Ross County tonight for our final Group A match in the Betfred Cup. The two sides met at the very same stage last season in a game which ended goalless before County triumphed in the penalty shoot out.

Alloa Athletic travelled to Elgin last night to play their 3rd match and recorded a 3-0 win moving them into 1st place in the group with 8 points and a goal difference of plus 5.

The Lichties really require a victory this evening over Ross County to stand any chance of going through but Saturday’s fixture between Alloa Athletic and Ross County looks like it will decide the outcome of the group.

Arbroath will be without Thomas O’Brien who will serve a one match suspension for picking up two yellow cards in the competition so far, but newest signing Finn Graham will be again in the squad and Ryan McCord should also return to the squad.
