Ladbrokes Championship – Game 20 – Season 2019 / 2020

Saturday 4th January 2020, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off

The Lichties return to action tomorrow for our first game of 2020 and our first home game of the new decade.

We give a warm welcome to David Hopkin’s Greenock Morton for our 3rd meeting of the season.
Both encounters this season have been very close matches with a Bobby Linn free kick giving the 3 points for Lichties in October.

In November a 3rd minute goal from Reece Lyon was enough to give Greenock Morton all 3 points.

Since then Greenock Morton have suffered defeat at the hands of Dundee United, Greenock Morton and Partick Thistle but did claim their first away win of the season against Alloa Athletic just before Christmas.

Morton midfielder Billy King has left Cappielow but they should have all other players to chose from.

After last weekend’s great win at Inverness, Manager Dick Campbell will be hoping David Gold has recovered from the knock that forced him off. Jason Thomson is pushing for a return to the starting line after missing several games due to injury.

It will be another extremely game for the Lichties, but we hope to have your support behind us from kick off.

Disabled Access;

Gayfield Park, home of Arbroath FC has two enclosed disabled seating areas on either side of the main stand which are reserved for wheelchair users and their assistants / carers. Each area can accommodate up to 3 wheelchairs and 3 assistants / carers.

These areas also have wall attached seats which fold down in place for any assistant or carer that is present on the day.

Each side is accessible via a smooth flat surface suitable for wheel chairs with a disabled toilet on the opposite side of the stand.

Our match day stewards are always on hand to give assistance either into the ground, or to the accessible areas.

Unfortunately due to Gayfield’s location we don’t own any parking spaces around the ground, but there is plenty of spaces on either side of the ground to park which is all completely free.

If the distance from the main gate to the accessible area is too far, then we are happy to accommodate a vehicle into the ground for a close drop off. In this circumstance we would please ask that you contact the club a day or two before hand and arrive a little earlier than normal.

We offer a concession admission for those with a disability and free admission to any assistant or carer present.

We are a community club and hope to give all visiting and home fans the same experience as they are welcomed into our ground.

Unfortunately due to Gayfield’s location we don’t own any parking spaces around the ground, but there is plenty of spaces on either side of the ground to park which is all completely free.

If you are coming from the direction of Dundee, there are many spaces on Queen’s Drive next to Pleasureland, of if you continue past Gayfield there is Inchcape Park which is your first right after Gayfield. It is next to the Sea which offers street and overspill onto the grass.
