Betfred Cup – Group A – Game 3 – Season 2018 / 2019

Saturday 21st July 2018, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath return to Gayfield tomorrow for our first competitive match of the new season. We welcome Gavin Price and his Elgin City team with a host of familiar faces.

Elgin City Assistant Manager Keith Gibson who of course won the League 2 Title in 2010 / 2011 at Gayfield and he is joined by former Lichties David Banjo and Jordan Lowdon who have both moved to Borough Briggs over the summer from Selkirk and Clyde respectively.

Elgin have only played once match in Group A so far as they suffered at 2-0 away defeat to Ross County in Dingwall.

The Lichties will be looking to overcome the disappointment of Tuesday’s night result at Alloa. With Ross County to visit Elgin City on Wednesday evening it will be another tough week for the squad but will ultimately improve the fitness of the team.
