Ali Adams – December Goal of the Month!
Congratulations to our Goalkeeper Ali Adams who has won December’s Goal of the Month!
Ali came on in the 58th minute against Championship leader’s Raith Rovers at Stark’s Park on Saturday 30th December due to an injury to defender Aaron Steele and with no other subsititiones left, Ali took to the pitch and played up front as a striker.
What was to happen has caught the attention of football fans and the media across the world as in the 76th minute Ali scored not just the goal of the month, but we believe the goal of the season!
Ali’s goal started a comeback and thanks to a Leighton McIntosh penalty we drew 2-2.
This is the just the second time a goalkeeper has won Goal of the Month, and we are sure it will be a while before another keeper wins this award!
