New Signing – David Hutton

Arbroath FC are delighted to announce the signing of Goalkeeper David Hutton.

The 32 year old keeper moves to Gayfield having spent the last two seasons at East End Park with Dunfermline Athletic and was in goal when we played our Betfred Cup tie there last season.

David started his career with Aberdeen, before a short spell with Junior side Petershill in his native Glasgow. A move to Clyde followed where he made just under 100 appearances.

In the 2006-2007 season when Clyde were in the Scottish First Division (Now Championship) he kept 11 clean sheets as Clyde finished with the best defensive record in the league.

A move to Queen of the South followed in 2009 after Clyde were hit with financial problems and David made over 50 appearances at Palmerston before seasons at Hamilton Academical and Greenock Morton.

From 2013 to 2015 David was at Ayr United making over 70 appearances before Allan Johnston snapped him up for Dunfermline Athletic.

Now David starts a new chapter in his footballing career as he moves to Gayfield.

Welcome to Arbroath!
