cinch Scottish Championship – Game 27 – Season 2022/2023

Friday 3rd March 2023, New Douglas Park, Hamilton, 19:45pm kick off

It’s another huge game for the Lichties this evening as they travel down to Hamilton to face the form team in the Scottish Championship.

Despite losing influential attacker Andy Ryan in January, Head Coach John Rankin has added 5 loan signings to boost his squad with Dylan McGowan (Kilmarnock), Connor Smith (Hearts), Tom Sparrow (Stoke City) and Dylan Stephenson (Newcastle United) all arriving in January.

The previous meeting at New Douglas Park earlier in the season seen the result go the home side’s way after a disputed hand ball which gave Accies a penalty kick and seen Thomas O’Brien sent off, whilst the next match at Gayfield it was Arbroath who sealed the win thanks to a Bobby Linn penalty just before half time.

Arbroath will be hoping Sean Adarkwa will be fully fit and ready for selection but last Saturday both Toyosi Olusanya and Paul Komolafe showed what they have to offer up front as Manager Dick Campbell now has strength and depth in his attacking selections.

It is a huge match and with the game being shown live on BBC Scotland there will be a larger audience watching on.

With all tickets on sale for only £5 we do hope there will be a huge Arbroath support cheering us on form the North Stand.

A minute’s silence will be observed before kick off for Accies Commercial Director Arthur Lynch who sadly passed away on Wednesday.

C’mon the Lichties
