Cinch Scottish Championship – Game 13 – Season 2021 / 2022

Saturday 6th November, New Douglas Park, Hamilton, 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath travel down to New Douglas Park today to face Hamilton Academical for our first visit since August 2014 when we were beaten 2-1 in the first round of the Scottish League Cup with Kevin Buchan scoring a 90th minute goal for Arbroath.

The last meeting between the sides was a 4-0 win for Arbroath at Gayfield in September but Accies come into today’s game on the back of a win against Queen of the South and a draw against Greenock Morton.

There are four very familiar faces in the Accies line up with Miko Virtanen, Ben Stirling, Andy Ryan and Scott Martin all have played for the club on loan.

For Arbroath it should be a similar team with only Nicky Low still absent through injury and Dylan Patterson who is out on loan for 2 months to get more games under his belt at Bo’ness Athletic.

Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell has a positive headache with both Bobby Linn and Dale Hilson making an impact off the bench last weekend.

We know it is a very long way to travel, but if you are traveling please have a safe journey and if you are cheering the team on from home then we appreciate your support!

C’mon the Lichties!
