Arbroath FC have reluctantly agreed to the sale of midfielder Blair Yule to Highland League side Cove Rangers for a five figure fee.
Blair signed for the Lichties in the summer of July 2017 on a 2 year deal as manager Dick Campbell managed to secure Blair’s signature, despite interest from several full time teams.
Blair made an instant impact on his Arbroath debut scoring against Alloa Athletic in the Betfred Cup and then also scored on his debut in League One against Queen’s Park at Gayfield.
In total Blair made 43 competitive appearances in the 2017/2018 season and had shown great athleticism and skill on the ball from midfield as well as showing versatility if called upon to deputise in defence.
However following a recent job promotion Blair is often working away from home for several nights, adding to his difficulty in traveling to training and match days.
Arbroath Chairman Mike Caird said; “Whilst it’s disappointing to lose Blair, the fee received will be used to further strengthen the squad.”
