cinch Scottish Championship – Game 21 – Season 2021 / 2022

Saturday 8th January 2022, Somerset Park, Ayr, 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath make the long trip down to Ayr United tomorrow for our second game of 2022.

Ayr United have today named Lee Bullen as their head coach and it will no doubt have given a lift to the Ayr United players and supporters.

Ayr United haven’t played since Boxing Day, but they recorded a fantastic 2-0 home win over Raith Rovers. Our matches against the Honest Men have been tight with two draws and Ayr United have scored 3 goals against us this season.

For Ayr they will be without striker Tomi Adeloye who serves a one-match suspension and Steven Bradley has returned to parent club Hibernian after his loan ended.

Arbroath will be hoping that both Scott Stewart and Liam Henderson are able to return to the squad but of course will be without Anton Dowds who has returned to parent club Falkirk. Jack Hamilton will be in contention to start alongside Livingston team-mate Joel Nouble who may be playing his last game for the Lichties.

It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from the very start.

C’mon the Lichties
