Arbroath are back in action tomorrow as they welcome Queen of the South to Gayfield for the side’s third and final meeting of the season.

Tomorrow’s match signals the start of the final 3rd of the season and also the Championship game of the day with the two form teams in the league.

The Lichties are undefeated in their last 8 matches since December 29th and have picked up 16 points, with Queen of the South picking up 17 points in their last 8 games with just one defeat from Alloa Athletic.

If you look over the past 6 matches the Lichties are just one point better off in the form table with 14 points to Queen of the South’s 13, so this game should be a cracker!

Since our last match on the 13th of January, Queen of the South have added the loan signings of midfielders Isiah Jones from Middlesburgh and Ciaran Dickson from Rangers, and striker Dapo Mebude also from Rangers.

Jones and Mebude have tormented defences since arriving at Palmerston and were both key players as Queen of the South almost defeated Heart of Midlothian in the live BBC Sportscene Championship match a few weeks ago.

Right back Willie Gibson has also been announced as the SPFL Championship player for February with some stunning goals coming from the veteran defender.

Queen of the South’s website (https://www.qosfc.com/news-5372) has some team news “It remains to be seen how close Connor Shields, Joe McKee or Nortei Nortey are to full fitness, although Dan Pybus will definitely miss out with a hamstring injury.”

For the Lichties they will again be without Gavin Swankie and Luke Donnelly who both look set to miss the rest of the season with Jake Davidson also remaining a doubt.

Manager Dick Campbell will have a tough headache in whether to keep the team that defeated Ayr United last weekend or to perhaps give the impressive Lewis Moore his first start.

It will be another tough match, but we hope you will be cheering us on from home!

Don’t forget to watch at half time to find out who is the first ever winner of our half time draw!

C’mon the Lichties!
