Cinch Scottish Championship – Game 01 – Season 2021 / 2022

Saturday 31st July 2021, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off

Today is a special day as supporters are at last able to watch Arbroath play in the cinch Scottish Championship. Our 3rd straight season is sure to be just as tough and challenging as the past 2 seasons but with a determined and talented team with a never-say-die attitude anything is possible!

We welcome Billy Dodd’s and his Inverness Caledonian Thistle team to Gayfield this afternoon which is sure to be an exciting match.

Inverness have lost many talented players over the summer but have added some quality additions including Michael Gardyne and Billy Mckay from Ross County, with Head Coach Billy Dodds also taking over during the summer.

Arbroath go into the match without Liam Henderson who is serving a one match suspension from his time at Edinburgh City and without Jason Thomson who is very close to a return to the squad but are given a huge boost as Captain Thomas O’Brien returns to action.

The team showed great character last Saturday coming back from 2 goals down and created numerous chances which is always an encouraging.

The matches have been close over the past few seasons and we hope today that with a large home support you can get right behind the team from the very start.

C’mon the Lichties!
