Arbroath vs Falkirk – Match Preview

The Scottish Cup 2nd Round – Season 2020 / 2021

Tuesday 23rd March 2021, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off

Match Sponsor – Craig Knowles – Pro at Arbroath Golf Links http://craigknowlesgolf.co.uk/

Arbroath welcome Falkirk FC to Gayfield tonight in the revised 2nd round of the Scottish Cup in a repeat of last year’s 4th round clash which took place on the 18th January 2020.

Falkirk currently sit at the top of League One with 24 points after they returned to league action this weekend with a 2-0 win over Montrose. Mark Durnan opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Callumn Morrison netter their second in the 90th minute.

Falkirk have added Lewis Neilson, Kyle McClelland and Kai Fotheringham since January.

Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell is expected to ring the changes tonight as he freshens things up after Saturday’s goalless draw with Heart of Midlothian.

This match will be played to a result, so extra time and penalties will take place if this game is level after 90 minutes.

It will be a very tough game up against another full side team, which is brimming with experience in all departments.

We hope you can join us and cheer on the Lichties.

C’mon the Lichties!
