Arbroath FC Young Player of the Year – Ben Williamson
Congratulations to Ben Williamson who just pipped Jack Hamilton to be named Arbroath FC Young Player of the Year.
Thank you to all the fans who voted!
Ben arrived on loan from Rangers in January and started every match since arriving at the club and scored his first senior goal in our 4-0 win over Ayr United.
Ben was an instant fan favourite with his natural ability and grit in midfield and supporting both in defence and attack.
The 19 year old showed no fear when going up with some of the experienced players in the Championship and just seemed to revel in the fight.
Ben’s arrival also signalled the upturn in the results of the team and we are all extremely grateful for his spell at the club.
Last year’s winner Miko Virtanen has went on to make his first team appearance in the Aberdeen team, and whilst he has missed out on through the past few weeks with injury we hope like Miko, Ben will be making the step up to the Rangers first team very soon.
We have had the pleasure of getting to know Ben, and watch his development in the Championship. We are all excited to watch on as Ben looks set for a stunning professional career.
Congratulations again to Ben Williamson, Arbroath FC Young Player of the Year.
C’mon the Lichties!
