Elgin stunned champions Arbroath in an eight-goal thriller at Gayfield.
The home side took the lead through Paul Sheerin before David Gormley smashed a leveller into the net and then put Elgin in front. Gavin Swankie equalised with a 30-yard volley, before Craig Gunn replied from distance to put Elgin ahead again.
Gormley completed his hat-trick to make it 4-2 but Josh Falkingham clawed one back for Arbroath before Jason Crooks scored the fifth from the spot.

O'Connor drilled the ball home in the 22nd minute, meeting a knock-down by team-mate Bryan Felvus. Gavin Swankie almost doubled the lead but his free-kick was saved.
O'Connor got his second from a Mark Docherty cross while Steven Sloan clinched the win with 20 minutes to go, heading home from 12 yards.

The final whistle sounded to spark scenes of joyful celebration as Arbroath secured a divisional title for the first time since joining the Scottish League 90 years ago. Gayfield’s biggest crowd of the season saw our Angus rivals Montrose crushed 4-1 while closest challengers Albion Rovers were losing 2-1 to Queen’s Park at Hampden. That combination of results meant that, with two games remaining in the season, no-one could catch the Lichties.
Steven Doris held his nerve to give the maroons the best possible start by shooting home from the penalty spot at the second attempt after being fouled in the area by Sean Crighton with just five mins on the clock. Doris converted his first effort but the referee spotted an encroachment into the box and ordered a retake.
Gavin Swankie had a few attempts on goal as the Lichties took full control but it wasn’t until one minute before the interval that the all-important second goal was scored. Josh Falkingham latched onto a Doris flick and slotted the ball beyond Gonzalez. Player-manager Paul Sheerin added a third on the hour mark when he lobbed the goalkeeper before running 50 yards up the pitch to celebrate. Former Arbroath player Terry Masson pulled one back for the visitors with a spectacular effort with 20mins to go but Adam Strachan restored Arbroath’s three goal cushion right at the end to kickstart wild celebrations in the home ranks.
Long serving chairman John Christison was ecstatic. He said:” This puts Arbroath back on the map. I am delighted for everyone associated with the club. We will have as good a chance as anyone in the Second Division next season. We are ambitious. We would like to get to the Premier League if we could.”

Arbroath's lead at the top of the Third Division was cut to six points after Queen's Park's late equaliser prevented the Red Lichties from chalking up their 20th win of the season.
The Gayfield side's quest for a first championship title since joining the Scottish Football League 90 years ago remains well on course with just three games remaining.
Queen's took the lead midway through the first half when Craig Smith took full advantage of a Lee Sibanda slip to break clear and shoot low beyond Darren Hill. Smith almost extended the visitors lead in the 35th minute but Hill brilliantly blocked his shot. This seemed to stir the home side into action and seven minutes from the interval Keith Gibson headed home a Kieran McAnespie freekick to level the score.
The Lichties began the second half on the offensive and it was no surprise when centre-back Craig Wedderburn hooked home the equaliser. Gavin Swankie then began to turn on the style, forcing Adam Strain to stretch full length to turn away a netbound curling shot from the edge of the box, then shooting narrowly wide of the post.
But Queen's, who are chasing a play-off spot, shocked the home fans by grabbing an equaliser with 11 minutes to go. Hill failed to hold onto a shot from substitute Ian Watt and Jamie Longworth pounced on the rebound to hit the ball into the net.
Both sides went in search of the winner but despite a few close shaves at either end, there was no further scoring.

Arbroath took a step closer to the Third Division title with a comfortable victory over bottom of the table Clyde. The Lichties, who had also beaten the visitors 3-0 at Broadwood four days earlier, were always in control and Darren Hill enjoyed a quiet evening.
The home side broke the deadlock in the 24th minute when Steven Doris converted Gavin Swankie's cross from the right. Arbroath continued to apply the pressure and Bryn Halliwell did well to tip a Doris header over the bar.
The Clyde goalkeeper came to the rescue again when diving full length to save a Paul Sheerin drive from the edge of the box. Craig Wedderburn then came close with a looping header which landed on the roof of the net.
The Lichties' onslaught produced a second goal in the 42nd minute when player-manager Sheerin took advantage of a collision between Clyde's Iain Gray and Stuart Mills to break free on the left.
He cut the ball into Swankie who lashed it beyond the helpless Halliwell for his 23rd goal of the season.
Arbroath completely dominated the second period with Keith Gibson, Josh Falkingham, Kieran McAnespie and Swankie all coming close to extending the home side's lead. The best chance, however, fell to substitute David Dimilta three mins from the end but the little midfielder blazed the ball over the bar.

But the visitors broke the deadlock when Keith Gibson shot low into the net on 19 minutes and Adam Strachan fired in a second moments later.
David McGowan then capped an efficient victory for table-topping Arbroath when he smashed home a third.

Third Division leaders Arbroath failed to move further ahead at the top of the league after a draw with Stranraer.

Declan Gallagher's own goal put the Red Lichties in front before Scott Agnew's free-kick levelled the scores.
Home goalkeeper Darren Hill then saw red with Agnew scoring direct from the free kick before Armand One put the visitors ahead, but Gavin Swankie's late strike saved a point for Paul Sheerin's side.

The Lichties grabbed a vital away win over title challengers Annan in a fiery game which ended with the Gayfield men having just nine men on the park for the second time this month, while the home side also lost a player.
David McGowan, who was preferred to Steven Doris in the starting line-up, gave the visitors the lead four mins after the interval then Craig Wedderburn doubled Arbroath’s advantage in the 53rd min.
But Paul Sheerin’s side never do things the easy way and before the hour mark skipper Stuart Malcolm was sent off for violent conduct.
Annan only enjoyed a numerical advantage for 12mins before John Macbeth joined Malcolm in the pavilion after receiving his second yellow card of the game.
Wedderburn then turned from saint to sinner by being dismissed for a professional foul with just over 10mins remaining.
Shortly afterwards, Danny Griffin, who had come on for Gavin Swankie, sent the ball beyond Darren Hill to pull Annan back into contention but the Lichties held on for another three valuable points.
Suspensions further down the line may, however, pose a threat to the Maroons title challenge.

The Lichties were held to a draw by Queen’s Park who had just come off a four-game winning streak.
Paul Sheerin’s side took the lead after just four mins when Stuart Malcolm rose to head home a Gavin Swankie freekick.
Queen’s were soon on the offensive, however, and created a series of good chances with Ian Watt and Daryl Meggatt both coming close.
The home side’s pressure paid off on the stroke of half-time when Malcolm fouled David Murray in the box and Martin McBride netted the resultant spot-kick.
In the second half, substitute Jamie Longworth hit
the Arbroath bar with a powerful 20 yard shot, but the Lichties held on to

Arbroath extended their lead at the top of the Third Division with a comprehensive win over title rivals Albion Rovers with Gavin Swankie yet again starring for the Lichties.
The on-fire striker scored in the first five mins and the last five mins, and in midway through the second half he won the penalty which led to Rovers keeper Derek Gaston being sent off.
Swankie, who has now notched 16 goals this season, started and finished the move which gave Arbroath an early lead.
He took possession on the halfway line and fired a great pass out to Kieran McAnespie on the left.
Swankie then broke forward to collect McAnespie's return pass just inside the box and shot low behind Gaston to open the scoring.
Rovers enjoyed the bulk of possession, however, and Robert Love came within inches of equalising with a powerful shot which crashed against the bar before spinning clear.
The visitors continued to dominate after the break and Arbroath had Darren Hill to thank in the 51st minute when the keeper brilliantly spread himself to save from Love.
Any hopes Albion had of salvaging something from the game evaporated in the 66th min when Gaston collided with Swankie inside the box.
Referee Brian Colvin awarded the home side a penalty and sent off the goalkeeper.
Rovers manager Paul Martin was seething with the decision and ended up being sent to the stand after expressing his views to the standside assistant.
Sheerin coolly sent substitute trialist keeper Derek Barnes the wrong way from the resultant spotkick.
Even when down to 10 men Rovers continued to press forward, but Swankie delivered the final killer blow five mins from the end when he latched onto a perfectly flighted Sheerin pass to volley beyond Barnes.

A heroic performance from Stranraer goalkeeper David Mitchell kept his side top of the Third Division after a goalless draw away to Arbroath.

The keeper brilliantly kept out an 18-yard drive after the break from Josh Falkingham, who missed the rebound.
Stranraer failed with late efforts by Declan Gallacher and Craig Malcolm.

The Gable Endies swept into a two-goal first-half lead but the homesters came back to draw level early in the second period before substitute Martin Boyle fired home the winner four minutes from the end of extra-time to send the Links Park side through.
Montrose opened the scoring after six minutes. Former Arbroath man Chris Hegarty shaped up to take a free kick 10 yards inside his own half, spotted Lichties goalkeeper Darren Hill off his line and blasted the ball goalwards.
Hill back-pedalled and seemed to have it covered, but the ball spun from his grasp and trundled over the line.
Fifteen minutes later and the visitors were two ahead. Ryan McCord turned his opponent 25 yards out and fired high into the net beyond Hill's grasp.
The Lichties came out for the second half with all guns blazing and within six minutes had levelled the scores. Twice player-manager Paul Sheerin fired corner kicks deep into the Montrose six-yard box and on each occasion Alan Rattray headed home.
Arbroath continued to apply pressure, creating chance after chance, but Montrose goalkeeper Daniele Giordani, on loan from Celtic, pulled off a string of excellent saves.
As the game headed towards extra-time Arbroath's hopes were dealt a blow when captain Stuart Malcolm was dismissed for a second bookable offence. It is the fifth game in a row that they have been reduced to 10 men.
The stalemate was maintained throughout the extra period and penalty kicks seemed on the cards until, with four minutes remaining, Boyle broke through the middle, rounded Hill and calmly slotted the ball home to clinch the tie.
Montrose substitute Daryl Nicol was shown a straight red card with seconds remaining for a challenge.
