Arbroath FC Player Profile

Steven Rennie

Tell us about your first………………

Car? Renault Clio – I was the first of all my mates to drive and get a car so I thought I was top boy!!

Holiday? Butlins with my family

Film you went to see at the Cinema? I can’t remember the film because I fell asleep.

Pair of Football Boots? Gola Classics – they had about 50 moulded studs on each boot – SHOCKERS!

Time at the pub? Aged 16 in a pub called “The Yard” in Stirling.  I’ve had a season ticket there ever since.

Game you went to watch? Falkirk 1 Dundee Utd 5.  My family are all Falkirk fans and they told me I wasn’t getting back because I was a jinx.

Game you played in? Menstrie PS v St John’s PS, I can’t remember much about the game but I do remember my Dad going crazy when I left my Gola Classics behind in the changing room!

Game for Arbroath? Gretna away in a friendly.  I will always remember the abuse Dave King took from John Brownlie that day.

When was the last time you were really angry? When we were beaten by Berwick in the cup and they drew Falkirk in the next round.

When was the last time you cried? When Dobbo told us he was going to emigrate to Oz.

Who would you like to play you in a movie? The current James Bond – always the hero and always gets the girl!

What is your worst habit? Breaking wind before a game.

And your most redeeming feature? Still searching?

What is your favourite flavour of crisps? Tomato

What is the best thing about being a professional footballer? All the jokes between the boys and the fact that we are getting paid to do something we love.

And the worst? The feeling you get when you lose or have a bad game.
