The Buddies

Arbroath 0 - St Mirren 3

Team Lines

With John McGlashan suspended and both Moffat and Cusick failing late fitness tests, John Brownlie brought in Fallon, Heenan and McAulay.

The visitors took the lead in 11 minutes following a great move down the left, the ball was played into the goal area and Hinchcliffe was beaten with a shot which rattled off of the bar and the rebound was headed into the empty net. Hinchcliffe kept the score down to one nil at half-time.

Mallan and Roddie replaced McKinnon and Brownlie but it was the visitors who kept pushing forward. Quitongo rattled the crossbar before a cross from the right was headed home. Seven minutes later the Buddies scored their third. Henslee replaced Tait and we played the last twenty minutes with 10 men when Cargill limped off injured but there was no more scoring.
