John Brownlie brought Paul Brownlie, Stevie Florence and John McGlashan into the team in place of McInally, Swankie and Cusick who was on tyhe bench alongside Mercer, Heenan, Mallan and Wight. Arbroath started well and Bayne won a cormner in the first minute, McAulay shot wide then Brounlie had our first shot on target. Rovers had a few chances but found Hinchcliffe and our defence, in particular Steve Florence, in good form. We had a good opportunity to take the lead before half time when Bayne was brought down in the penalty box but Paul Brownlie's spot kick came off of the post ind into the keepers arms.

Arbroath continued pushing forward in the second half and Bayne had a shotsaved then McKinnon shot wide before a Ritchie headed almost crossed the line and a Raith defender almost headed an own goal. As time ran out, Mallan and Cusick were brough on but bot teams held out for a no scoring draw.
