John
Brownlie brought back Florence at right back and brought in Andy Roddie on the
left wing following his good performance for the reserves in Monday night’s
Forfarshire Cup defeat at Montrose.
The
home team soon showed the fans that they were up for the match as the tackled
and attacked the visitors straight from the kick-off. The Dingwall men seemed
content to defend and try to attack on the break. John McGlashan, who was back
following suspension, continued on from his good performance on Monday and
pushed and probed from midfield. Despite having the majority of the play
Arbroath failed to create any real chances and it was County who looked the more
dangerous on the break. County took the lead when Rowe was beaten on the left
and the ball was taken into the penalty box and hit home to put us one nil down.
Despite this setback Arbroath continued to push forward in an attempt to get the
equaliser.
