Arbroath 1 - Falkirk 0

With John McGlashan being unavailable through a throat infection, Jim Mercer was brought in as a straight replacement for him in midfield. Falkirk started off the match with more possession but failed to cause the settled Arbroath defence any real problems.  At the other end, a half blocked shot by Cargill beat the visiting keeper and bounced of the keeper's inside left post but was cleared. Cargill, Brownlie and Cusick were having a great game in midfield whilst our defence was holding strong.

McInally went off injured at the start of the second half. Substitute McKinnon was pulled up when he headed the Ball to Bayne who was in the clear and then Paul Brownlie hit the post with a great effort. With a couple of minutes to go a Tait cross found substitute Colin McKinnon who headed the ball past the visiting keeper to give us our second home victory in succession.
