Substitutes:- Wight, Steele (for Mallan), C McGlashan (for Brownlie), Arbuckle, J McGlashan (for McAulay)
Highlights:- With John Cusick being out due to suspension, John
Brownlie brought in Roddy Maughan as a straight replacement. Arbroath again
lined up in a 4-3-3 formation and played towards the Seaforth end goals in the
first half. They created a multitude of chances but only took one when Stevie
Mallan converted following a good Heenan free kick on the left. Despite having
many chances they went in at half time with the single goal lead.
In the second half, Stirling Albion came more into the match and a minute after
the introduction of the two McGlashans they equalised. Arbroath survived a
number of close encounters and in the last minute Kevin Steele was unlucky to
get a bad rebound following a Colin McGlashan attempt being blocked by the
visiting keeper.
