Highlights:- in front of a poor home crowd Arbroath were trying to regain second position in the league. Playing a 4-3-3 formation, Colin McKinnon had reverted to a more orthodox midfield role with Kevin Heenan taking over on the right wing. Colin McDonald had a chance to put the home team into the lead when he picked up a poor pass back but with only the keeper to beat the stopper won the ball as Colin tried to round him. In 19 minutes, Stevie Mallan was brought down in the penalty box and scored from the resultant penalty. We had the better of the play in the remainder of the first half against a strong wind but failed to add to the score. In the second half we struggled with the wind but following three substitutions, Heenan started getting some good passes on the right wing and caused the Queens Park defence considerable problems. From one of his corners, in 82 minutes, Colin McKinnon flicked the ball onto Andy Webster who headed home the second. In the last minute Jim Mercer was denied a goal by a good block by the visiting keeper.
