Hinchcliffe
Rowe Florence
Maughan Thomson Crawford
Heenan Mercer Mallan McKinnon McGlashan
Substitutes:- Wight, Steele (for Mallan), McAulay (for Maughan) Arbuckle, J McGlashan
Highlights:- Stevie Florence returned to the Arbroath starting
line-up and gave the team more shape at the back than they have had in recent
weeks despite their unbeaten run. Arbroath controlled much of the game but our
forwards were unable to build on the good midfield and defensive play whilst the
home team relied on the long ball forward but with the strong wind behind their
back the forwards were unable to get much possession. Kevin Heenan was being
closely marked and was unable to get the same freedom he had in the match
against QOS at Gayfield a few weeks ago.
McGlashan and Mallan both had chances before Colin was replaced by Steele and despite
having the upper hand in the second half we lost a last minute injury time goal
from a mishit shot which bounced on the ground before beating Hinchcliffe who
did not have a save to make in the game.
