Highlights:- on a far better day than the first match, Arbroath lined up 4-4-2 for the enforced replay and featured a surprise return for Stevie Florence following his back injury. John McGlashan had a header early on which rebounded off of the bar and despite having the majority of the play in the first half Arbroath failed to break the deadlock. Jist before half time, Montrose were reduced to 10 men following one of their players raising their fists to George Rowe. Arbroath started brightly in the second half against the 10 men and Colin McGlashan forced the home keeper to pull of a good save in the opening minutes. Jim Mercer scored but the goal was disallowed for off-side. Colin McGlashan forced the home keeper to have another great save but we struggled to utilise our extra man advantage and despite a couple of Montrose chances the game ended with no scoring.
