Substitutes:- Wight, Steele (for Mallan), McAulay (46 for Heenan), Maughan, C McGlashan
Highlights:- A good away support followed the team to Station
Park for their last local derby of the season. Arbroath started well but it was
Forfar who took the lead in 15 minutes following a gap appearing in the visiting
defence. Arbroath fought hard to get back into the game and Mallan equalised in
31 minutes following some excellent play by John McGlashan. George Rowe was
adjudged to have fouled as he and a home attacker raced for the ball and was red
carded by the official. From the resultant free kick, Crawford was adjudged to
have brought down Barry Sellars however Hinchcliffe pulled of a great save from
the penalty kick to keep us level.
McAulay replaced Heenan at half time as Cusick took over at right back. The 10
men Arbroath team had the better of the second half but failed to score and had
to settle for a 1-1 draw.
