Highlights:-
The conditions for the match were in complete contrast with the
previous Saturday when the match against QOS was abandoned after 37 minutes due
to the weather and the state of the pitch. Today saw a fine dry sunny February
Saturday as the Lichties tried to get their third victory of the season over
Tony Fitzpatrick's Clydebank. Colin McDonald opened the scoring for Arbroath
after 31 minutes following a poor punch out by the visiting keeper. The visitors
equalised in 38 minutes but Colin McDonald put us ahead again a minute later.
Two minutes before half time the visitors equalised again.
In the second half Paul Brownlie put us ahead after 55 minutes and after being
denied his hat trick by a good save, on loan striker Colin McDonald, managed to
complete his hat trick in 74 minutes. Craig Wight produced some good saves at
the other end to allow us to run out 4-2 winners despite not having one of our
better performances.
