Goalkeepers
DARREN HILL (DOB 3/12/1981) - signed during the January transfer window in 2007 and despite a colourful reputation during his early career, has quickly established himself between the sticks at Gayfield. Good shot stopper and superb kicker of the ball with the ability to turn defence into attack. He is a dominant figure in the box and a bit of a favourite around the terracing.
Michael White (DOB 6/6/1989) - signed summer of 2011 having previously been with Dumbarton.
Defenders
MARK BAXTER (DOB 16/4/1985) - Central back signed from Cowdenbeath in summer of 2011.
Beau Busch (DOB 16/3/1984) - An Australian born central defender, the former Manly United, North Queensland Fury and Sydney FC defender, Beau signed in the summer of 2011 and hopes to use his stay at Gayfield as a stepping stone into full-time football..
Graham Girvan (DOB 26/6/1990) - A right fullback, Graham signed in the summer of 2011 having been a t Clyde the previous season. Graham can also play in midfield.
STUART MALCOLM (DOB 20/8/1979) - Stuart is a centre back who signed for Arbroath at the start of their Championship winning season 2010/11 and finished the season as the Club captain. Has continued in this role this season. His previous Clubs include Forfar Athletic, Ross County and Alloa.
Craig Wedderburn (DOB 12/5/1990) - Craig, a central defender, was a member of the Arbroath team which won the Third Division championship in 2010/11 when he spent the latter part of the season on loan from Raith Rovers. Craig was released by Raith in the Summer of 2011 and signed up for Arbroath.
Kieran McAnespie (DOB 11/9/1979) - Kieran who has made the left back position his own since signing in 2010, lists Falkirk, St Johnstone, Alloa and Ayr among his former Clubs.
KEVIN BROWN (DOB 23/1/1992) – Former Raith Rovers left sided defender/midfielder. Kevin was signed close to the transfer window deadline after playing for BI Bolungarvik in Iceland.
Midfielders
Josh FALKINGHAM (DOB 25/8/1990) -
Paul Sheerin
pulled off a major coup by landing highly regarded
former Leeds midfielder Josh Falkingham on a one-year
deal in the summer of 2010.
Manager Paul Sheerin, beat off
competition from Ayr United to land Falkingham who
previously had a
loan spell with St. Johnstone last season. The youngster won the
Third Division young Player of the Year last season and has
committed his future to Gayfield for another season.
Keith Gibson (DOB 1/5/1980) - ‘Gibby' is a former Montrose captain who came to Gayfield on loan before signing on as a fully fledged Lichtie in 2009. Keith is an influential in the midfield engine room of the team.
Brian Kerr (DOB 12/10/1981) - The attacking midfielder, who has a Scotland Cap, was without a club following his release from Dundee midway through last season when they went into administration. Signed for Pau; Sheerin in the summer of 2011 we hope his experience and skill will benefit us in the Second division this season.
PAUL SHEERIN (DOB 28/8/1974) - Paul was known as "The Wizard" when with St. Johnstone to many Saints fans due to the skills he displays which allow him to beat opposing players despite not being what you would call a speedy player and also just the sheer elegance the man displays with the ball at his feet. Played 182 games for Saints over 6 years scoring 32 goals and was previously with Aberdeen, Ayr United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Left midfielder, Paul signed as player /manager in the summer of 2010 and guided the Club to their first ever championship when we won the 3rd Division last season. A classy midfielder he likes to nab the occasional goal and scored 2 against Montrose in our 3-2 win over our near neighbours in a pre-season friendly.
Lee Sibanda (DOB 25/5/1984) - the midfield utility player joined us in the January transfer window on our championship winning season. lee was previously with Cowdenbeath.
Forwards
Steven Doris (DOB 9/8/1988) - Popular with the fans at Gayfield, Steven has proved an important player for Arbroath. The attacking midfielder, who came to Gayfield from St. Johnstone, first on loan and then, when he was released by the Saints, signed makes a significant contribution to the cause as a goal maker as well as goalscorer.
Jordan Elfverson (DOB 6 /4/1992) - Jordan, a centre forward, was released from Dundee United and signed for us in the summer of 2011.
COLIN SAMUEL (DOB 27 /8/1981) -
A Trinidad and Tobago internationalist, Colin signed in January 2012
until the end of the season having been released from his contract
with Luton Town. He started of playing with Doc's Khelwalaas and then San Juan Jabloteh begore moving to Scotland to play with
Falkirk where he scored 11 goals in 34 games. Thereafter he was with Dundee United,
Toronto FC and St. Johnstone before moving to Luton Town. He
has made 24 international appearances scoring 5 goals.
GAVIN SWANKIE
(DOB 22/11/1983) -
A firm favourite among the Gayfield fans, local lad Gavin is a
highly creative attacking option in the side who has returned for a
3rd spell. Progressed through the youth ranks into the Lichties 1st
team before spells at Dundee and St Johnstone.
Gavin won the Third Division player of the year with us last season
as his goals helped win us the championship. Gavin was previously
with Dundee and St. Johnstone.
