The Alfie Lund Fund
Alfie Lund is a young boy, like many up and down the country and around the world who loves football.
Alfie has MECP2 Duplication syndrome which was only discovered about six years ago. There is still very little know about the disorder and Alfie is approximately only one of 35 children in the UK who have been diagnosed.
In order to help Alfie with specialist items to help him live a more comfortable life as he can several fundraising events have taken place and we have tried to help Alfie set a new world record as they try and make the longest multiple football scarf with 1500 teams from across the world!
Alfie is pictured here with his father mark with his Arbroath top.

Post Match Interview - Leighton McIntosh
Making an instant impact on his second Arbroath debut, striker Leighton McIntosh spoke to the press after Saturday's match.
Unfortunately the steam from the showers triggers the smoke alarm half way through the interview, and the lights are switched off for the final 10 seconds......... but despite these mishaps it is a very interesting interview from Leighton as he talks of his experiences in Iceland and their approach to the game. ... Yesterday we welcomed Arbroath Walking Football and Carnoustie Panmure Walking Football to take part in our "Slightly Older Guys" Match Day Experience!
These gents got stuck into a very competitive match on the hallowed Gayfield turf and there were some juicy tackles and some silky skills on show with lots of cheers and boos coming from the home crowd!
Football is for life, whether you are young or a wee-bit-older walking football is designed to give players the chance to play the game you love but reduce the chances of injury. It's a great way to keep fit, learn skills, have fun and socialise at the same time!
If you are a "Slightly Older Guy" and want to take up Walking Football, then please get in touch and we can point you in the direction of a team or someone to speak too, or alternatively both Clubs have Facebook pages:
Football brings us all together and everyone always has an opinion and walking football gets you out of the house into a team of men with similar interests and gives you a social interaction, laughter and keeps you fit!
We hope both sides are still friends and hope to see them back at Gayfield again very soon!
