Arbroath were the ones celebrating at Stair Park
Ten-man Arbroath held on for an aggregate win over Stranraer to win promotion to Division Two despite losing by a goal at Stair Park.
Arbroath's hopes were hampered by the red card shown to defender Craig Tully for a rash challenge after 58 minutes.
Gregory Tade gave Stranraer victory on the day, drilling the ball home from 12 yards five minutes later.
But Stranraer, who had finished second top and 13 points ahead of Arbroath, could not force an equaliser.
The Stair Park outfit could, however, still win promotion should Gretna go out of business after their relegation from the Scottish Premier League.

Arbroath 1-1 Forfar Athletic
Arbroath manager John McGlashan
was relieved to see his side eke out another valuable point in its quest for
promotion.
The Lichties had to thank Darren
Hill for keeping them in contention in the opening 45 minutes. The
goalkeeper had no chance with Stephen McNally's 30 yard volley to open the
scoring in the 31st minute. But if it hadn't been for his acrobatic leap
60secs later, the visitors could have been home and dry.
Chris Anton cut in from the edge
of the box and curled a perfectly flighted shot which seemed to be heading
into the top lefthand corner of Hill's net. But the keeper somehow managed
to get his fingertips to the ball and tip it over the bar.
Hill came to the rescue again a
few minutes later when he held a powerful John Ovenstone header on the line.
Hill's Forfar counterpart Sandy
Wood was in equally impressive form in the second half when Arbroath pressed
for the equaliser.
Twice he frustrated the Arbroath
attackers, first by turning a netbound Robbie Raeside header over the bar
then doing the same with a thunderous 40 yard Paul Tosh volley.
Nicky Smith came to Arbroath's
rescue 12 mins from the end when he side-footed home the equaliser for his
first goal of the season.
Forfar keeper Sandy Wood tipped over Paul Tosh's ambitious 40-yard drive, but Nicky Smith fired home the equaliser after poor defending.

Arbroath 5 (Scott 28, 71), Webster 3, Watson 51, Sellars 89), Elgin City 0
A
cheeky last minute goal from Barry Sellars was the icing on Arbroath's cake
as the Angus side brought Elgin's long unbeaten run to a shuddering end with
a crushing victory at Gayfield.
Elgin hadn’t lost since being thumped 4-0 at gayfield on 1st
September and few people expected a similar outome.
But
the rout started in the third minute when Kevin Webster shot home from 12
yards after Kevin McMullen's effort was blocked.Brian Scott doubled the home
side's lead midway through the first half with a beautifully execeuted
first-time volley after a magnificent through ball from Sellars.
Paul Watson blasted the home a third six minutes after the interval with an
excellent 20 yard freekick earned by the hard-working McMullen.
Scott, who was in the middle of a three game suspension from league games,
grabbed his second of the game and ninth of the season when he headed home
from 10 yards in the 71st minute.
Then came Sellars' final minute piece of individual brilliance. The Red
Lichties captain, whose six year-old son Ben was mascot for the day, spotted
Elgin goalkeeper Ali Ridgers well of his line. From fully 50 yards, the

Bryan Scott gave the visitors some hope after 71 minutes, but the Red Lichties were unable to overturn the deficit.
Brewster will be content that his first match in charge didn't end in upset.
Stand-in Inverness captain Ross Tokely made his mark early on in the game with a 35-yard effort, then with a clumsy challenge on Scott.
After 19 minutes, Barry Wilson came close with an effort from Don Cowie's cross which clipped keeper Morrison's crossbar.
Niculae was eager to break his duck, and after being thwarted twice in quick succession by Morrison his luck changed after 34 minutes.
A short pass from Wyness allowed the Romanian striker to notch up his first goal in Scottish football with a low 25-yard drive.
Wilson came close to doubling the Inverness advantage after 58 minutes, when McBain's cross from the left picked out the midfielder on the edge of the six-yard box and Wilson's diving header hit the right post.
Wyness grabbed his first goal since January with the second strike of the night after 64 minutes when he collected Duncan's cross from the right, then turned and fired home from close range.
Just as Inverness looked safe, Arbroath pulled a goal back after 71 minutes, when Scott exploited an error by Stuart McCaffrey to follow up his initial effort and sidefoot past Fraser.
