BRECHIN CITY:- Ritchie, Millar, Kidd, McLardy, Tocher, Dunn, Cooper, Harrier, Reid, Prain, Dow. Sub: Waddell.
After fifteen minutes, WALKER opened the scoring for Arbroath with a swerving shot from thirty yards. Then in thirty two minutes Cant was fouled in the penalty area. JACK almost burst the net with his spot kick.
A few minutes late, Walker’s shot rebounded off an upright and landed at Jack’s feet. But he hesitated and Ritchie dived to smother the ball.
Just on half time, BRUCE added a third goal to the Arbroath tally. Then in fifty nine minutes Payne’s corner found Walker. His shot again came back off the post for JACK, who found the net for his second goal of the game.
Five minutes later, COOPER pulled a goal back for Brechin. Cant was pulled down in the box and Arbroath were awarded the second penalty of the match. But Ritchie saved to deny Jack a hat trick.
