minutes play they were in front. Mitchell won a corner on the right, which
was taken by
Shortly afterwards, Stenny had another chance when Cairney’s free kick found Erwin, his header was low to the left but Jackson saved at the post. At the other end Brannigan’s twenty five yard shot was pushed round the post by Robertson. Three minutes before the interval, Forrest’s low shot was met first time by FOTHERINGHAM for Arbroath’s second goal of the game.
The second half was only three minutes old when Arbroath secured the points with a third goal. A cross from Fotheringham was met by McKENNA who headed strongly into the net. In sixty minutes the visitors should have pulled one back but Erwin, from a good position, screwed his shot wide of the target. Arbroath ran out convincing winners at the end of the day with a three nil victory.
