Brechin City vs Arbroath – Match Preview

Match Day 14 – Ladbrokes League 1 – Season 2018 / 2019

Saturday 17th November 2018, Glebe Park, Brechin – 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath make the short trip down across Angus to Brechin tomorrow as we face Barry Smith’s Brechin City at Glebe Park.

Former Raith Rovers boss Barry Smith moved to Glebe Park after the dismissal of Darren Dodds and made an instant impact as Brechin smashed Forfar Athletic 4-0 at Glebe Park last Saturday.

Popular Coach Stevie Campbell remains at Glebe Park and has become Barry’s assistant Manager.

This is the Lichties first visit to Glebe Park since the 1st of March 2014 when goals a double from Bobby Linn and goals by Michael Travis and Paul McManus secured a 4-2 victory for the Lichties.

Midfielder Cameron Blues joined Brechin City on loan from Livingston before the transfer window closed and scored his first City goal against Forfar Athletic last weekend.

Brechin City Team News

On-loan St Johnstone striker Callum Hendry misses out with a fractured hand and joins striker Dene Shields and Paul McLean on the injury list for the Glebe Park side.

Arbroath Team News

Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell will have a full pool of players to choose from apart from striker Callum Smith who is still sidelined with a broken wrist..

Brechin City have provided the toughest test so far this season for the Lichties as they fought back from 2 goals down at Gayfield to secure the draw back in September so we know that it will be a very tough afternoon at Glebe Park.

We need you to be our 12th man and cheer on the Lichties from the very first minute.
