Arbroath vs Stranraer – Match Preview

The Ladbrokes William Hill Scottish Cup 3rd Round – Season 2018 / 2019

Saturday 24th November 2018, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath welcome Stevie Farrell’s Stranraer side to Gayfield tomorrow for our 3rd round clash in the William Hill Scottish Cup.

The sides have met twice this season with the Lichties coming out on top on both occasions but both encounters have been tricky ties, especially the last game down at Stair Park at the end of October.

Stranraer visit Angus for the second time in a week after a late injury time goal secured a point against Montrose last week.

Arbroath return to action after a 5 star performance last weekend against Brechin City, with most supporters claiming it was the best performance of the season to date.

Stranraer Team News

Updated team news from http://www.stranraerfc.org/ “Grant Anderson is likely to be out for another week through injury while Kilmarnock have refused to let loan stars Innes Cameron or Daniel Higgins play in the competition for Stranraer”.

Striker Issac Layne has departed Stair Park after being released from his contract. Issac suffered a cruciate ligament injury earlier in the season and has moved to England to be closer to his family.

Arbroath Team News

Arbroath will be again be without striker Callum Smith who is recovering from a wrist break and also Finn Graham who has left the club to sign for Kelty Hearts. Other than that Manager Dick Campbell should have a full squad to choose from.

It is another extremely tough game for the Lichties as all teams are seeking to claim a scalp over us.
Ware hoping for another tremendous support who will be in good voices to cheer on the Lichties.
Please come down and support the team!
