Arbroath FC are delighted to welcome Dunfermline Athletic striker Callum Smith to Gayfield on a season long loan deal.
18 year-old Callum will be familiar to the Lichties having come up against Arbroath last season during a successful loan spell at Alloa Athletic and of course he played in Dunfermline’s friendly against Arbroath at Gayfield at the start of July.
Callum broke into the Pars side at age 17 and notched goals against Elgin City in the Betfred Cup and then scored against Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Dundee United in the Championship before joining Alloa Athletic on loan in February 2018 – where he scored against Arbroath!
Callum has also represented Scotland at Under-19 playing against Luxemburg, Armenia and the Czech Republic in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship and scored 2 goals on his Scotland debut against Ukraine.
This season Callum has been quick to get on the goal trail with his goal helping Dunfermline Athletic knock out holders Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Irn-Bru Cup.
